On August 13, 2026, the city of Buston hosted the Sughd Region Open Tennis Tournament for the Cup of the Chairman of Sughd Region under the slogan “35 Years of Independence — 35 Sporting Peaks.”
The tournament was organized to mark the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. Young athletes competed in two age groups: 10–13 and 14–17 years old.
The main objectives of the tournament were to promote the development of tennis among children and young people, encourage greater participation in sports activities, promote a healthy lifestyle, and discover new sporting talents.
During the exciting and competitive matches, the participants demonstrated their technical skills, physical fitness, and strong determination as they competed for top places and the Cup of the Chairman of Sughd Region.
The organization of such tournaments creates favorable conditions for the further development of tennis and for improving the level of sporting skills among young athletes.
